Set a setting

Writes ~/.config/mise/config.toml, or the nearest project config with --local. Settings that mise reads before loading config files cannot be set here: set global_config_file and similar through their environment variables, and ceiling_paths and similar in a miserc.toml file or their environment variables. --local refuses settings that only the global config can set, such as yes. Arguments

• <SETTING> — The setting to set
• [VALUE] — The value to set (or pass SETTING=VALUE)

Flags

• -l --local — Write to the nearest project config instead of the global config

  The nearest project config is the lowest-precedence TOML file in the nearest directory that has one, or ./mise.toml.

• -h --help — Print help

Run up to 4 jobs in parallel

mise settings set jobs 4

Enable experimental features in the project config

mise settings set --local experimental=true
