mise dotfiles history diff ​

Compare checkpoints, or your files against one

Without arguments, shows unsaved changes: the files on disk against the latest checkpoint. With one reference, shows what that checkpoint changed since the one before it. With two, compares them.

参数 ​

  • [A] — 数字检查点 ID、latest、latest~N 或 commit:<sha>
  • [B] — 将 A 与此检查点进行比较，而不是与其前一个检查点进行比较

Flags ​

  • --operation — Compare an operation with the checkpoint it saved before it ran

    With no reference, uses the newest operation, ignoring later saves. With one reference, uses that operation. Fails if the operation's earlier checkpoint is unavailable instead of comparing an unrelated save.

  • -p --patch — Print the full patch instead of a per-file summary

  • --path <PATH> — Restrict to one path (a file or a directory)

  • --exit-code — Exit 1 when the two sides differ

  • -h --help — Print help

Examples ​

Show unsaved changes

mise dot history diff

Show what checkpoint 12 changed

mise dot history diff 12

Print the full patch between two checkpoints

mise dot history diff 11 12 --patch

Show what the newest operation changed

mise dot history diff --operation
