mise dotfiles edit

Open a dotfile's source in your editor

Opens the file that defines TARGET in $VISUAL or $EDITOR: the source for symlink, copy, and template entries; the file itself for tracked and permissions-only entries; and the declaring config for inline content, absent entries, and edits without a source file.

An unmanaged target is first added to the global [dotfiles], as mise dot add --no-apply would add it, after a prompt that --yes skips. Without a terminal, an unmanaged target needs --yes. With --apply, applies the target after the editor exits.

参数

  • <TARGET> — 要编辑的目标

Flags

  • --apply — Apply this target after the editor exits
  • -m --mode <MODE> — Mode to use if the target is not managed yet: symlink, symlink-each, copy, or template (default: the dotfiles.default_mode setting)
  • -s --source <PATH> — Source path to use if the target is not yet managed
  • -y --yes — Skip the confirmation prompt when adding an unmanaged target
  • --group <NAME> — Dotfile group whose tree holds the target, when several groups deploy into its directory
  • --prompt-secrets — Prompt for [bootstrap.secrets] values that templates need and the environment does not set
  • -h --help — Print help

示例

mise dot edit ~/.zshrc

Edit the source, then deploy it

mise dot edit --apply ~/.config/starship.toml
